| Well, the festivities
are now over, which is always a bit of shame as I actually like Christmas. I
received five Christmas cards from clients with very positive messages,
including one that said "Its good to talk". Mmmmmmm. All of my
clients said that they appreciated the cards that I gave them. One said that it
would be a good link with which to tell the family that they were seeing a
therapist. Three of my clients called to postpone appointments in the week just
before Christmas - all down with the flu. I earned a bit less that I had hoped
but it gave me more time to be with Roy and catch up on a bit of reading.
Unfortunately, I didn't do enough work on the Marlin essay so it was after
Christmas that I came to the conclusion that I had chosen the wrong essay. My
original choice had been about the relevance of psychoanalysis to an NLP
practitioner. With just over a week to go for the deadline I realised that I
could not write a suitable essay without a great deal of further research. I
felt that I just wouldn't be able to fill the 2000 words with anything
useful.
So, I've had to choose a new title and I've gone for the one on Person Centered
Therapy - I feel that I have a good grasp of this subject and it was fairly
easy to map out a plan for it. I finished it just a few moments ago. its now
nearly 1 am - so I shall read it again in the morning and make any changes that
seem necessary and then fax it across to Marlin - right on the deadline. Close
- actually far too close for a comfortable heart rate.
As its a new year I've reviewed my charges and come to the conclusion that I
need to raise them. I've decided that for new clients the basic charge will be
£40 per hour with existing clients paying £35 until the end of March.
I increased the charges last year in April and so I'll write to all my existing
clients in March and inform them of the change.
Now all I have to do is complete the accreditation papers and get them
delivered by the 14th.
